MIA Block exists as a curated platform within the Rekemet ecosystem—designed to spotlight visionary artists whose work reflects authentic expression, originality, impact and other qualities we choose to highlight.
To preserve artistic integrity, legal clarity, and long-term sustainability, all submissions must meet professional standards of authorship transparency and ownership certification. The following Agreement outlines the terms governing submission, review, and potential placement on the MIA Block platform.
This Submission Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the submission of creative works to MIA Block, a curated media platform within the Rekemet ecosystem (“MIA Block,” “Platform,” “we,” or “us”).
By submitting work, the artist (“Artist,” “you,” or “Submitter”) agrees to the following terms:
1. Nature of Platform
MIA Block operates as a curated and editorial platform as well as a media institution.Submission does not guarantee selection, publication, distribution, partnership, compensation, or continued placement.
MIA Block maintains full editorial and curatorial authority over all submissions.
2. Ownership & Originality Certification
By submitting work, you certify that:
You are the sole creator and lawful owner of the submitted work OR
You possess full written authorization from all rights holders.
The work does not infringe upon any third-party copyright, trademark, likeness, publicity right, or intellectual property.
No portion of the work is stolen, misappropriated, unlawfully sampled, traced, or derived from protected content without proper licensing.
All necessary permissions for identifiable individuals (if applicable) have been obtained.
You acknowledge that false certification may result in removal, permanent disqualification, and potential legal action.
3. AI Disclosure & Compliance
The United States Copyright Office requires disclosure of artificial intelligence involvement in copyrighted works when seeking registration.
Accordingly, you must disclose whether artificial intelligence tools were used in the creation of the submitted work.
By submitting, you affirm that:
You have accurately disclosed AI tool involvement.
You have identified the nature of AI inclusion.
You understand that failure to disclose AI involvement may affect your work's eligibility to be included by MIA Block.
You possess commercial usage rights under the applicable AI tool’s terms of service.
MIA Block reserves the right to decline or remove AI-generated works at it's discretion and to update and change it's standards and overall brand artistic integrity as the industry evolves, without notice.
4. License Grant
If selected, you grant MIA Block a non-exclusive, worldwide, sublicensable license to:
Display
Publish
Promote
Distribute
Archive
Market
Include within digital, physical, experiential, educational, or media properties connected to Rekemet
This license does not transfer ownership.
You retain all intellectual property rights unless otherwise agreed in writing

5. Compensation Structure
Unless explicitly agreed in writing:
Submission does not guarantee payment.
Cultural placement may be editorial (exposure-based).
Commissioned or revenue-sharing arrangements require a separate written agreement.
MIA Block reserves the right to structure compensation models at its discretion, including:
Editorial feature (no payment)
Revenue share (where applicable)
Flat feature fee (invitation-based)
Strategic commission
No compensation obligation exists without a separate signed agreement.
6. Curatorial Authority & Selection Rights
MIA Block maintains exclusive editorial discretion.
MIA Block reserves the right to:
Accept or reject any submission
Decline submissions without explanation
Remove previously featured works
Determine placement, format, and timing of publication
Archive or discontinue works at its discretion
Modify submission policies and standards at any time
All decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
Submission does not create any partnership, employment relationship, joint venture, or agency relationship.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MIA Block, Rekemet, its affiliates, officers, contractors, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and legal fees arising from:
Breach of this Agreement
False ownership claims
Copyright infringement
Trademark violations
Undisclosed AI involvement
Unauthorized likeness usage
Any third-party intellectual property dispute
You assume full legal responsibility for the submitted work.
8. Removal & Takedown
MIA Block may remove or suspend any work at any time if:
A legal concern arises
Ownership is disputed
The work conflicts with platform values
The work damages brand integrity
Required disclosures were inaccurate
Removal does not constitute breach of contract.
9. Limitation of Liability
MIA Block is not liable for:
Participation is voluntary and at the Artist’s own risk.
10. Policy Evolution
MIA Block reserves the right to update this Agreement and its submission standards at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
11. Terms and Conditions
By proceeding with submission, you affirm that:
You have read and understood the MIA Block Submission Agreement in its entirety.
You agree to comply with all ownership, disclosure, and licensing requirements outlined above.
All information provided in your submission is accurate and truthful.
You understand that submission does not guarantee placement, compensation, partnership, or continued distribution.
Your digital acknowledgment constitutes a legally binding agreement.
